This is based on the huge impact that the area had raising sheep, spinning & weaving. The picture depicts part of Arlington Row & like many of the other Cotswolds small

villages was originally built for weaving the sturdy uncoloured wool fabric used for military & farming clothing

Mike Kingston trained at Gloucestershire College of Art & Design in the late ‘60s and practised as an Architect for over 20 years in and around Gloucestershire. With his love of Art and Theatre design he has been involved producing & constructing designs for both local amateur companies both at The Playhouse in Cheltenham and local touring professional such as Rolling Stock & Dreamshed theatre company

Throughout his life he has been a prolific painter in both watercolours, acrylics in several different styles, and has been exhibiting for many years throughout the Cotswolds.

He has however never painted 5ft hares before and is therefore looking forward to the challenge.
