About the Hare

In my creation of the hare, I wanted to draw on a simplistic design, which really reflected what myself and others love and universally identify with about the Cotswolds. In my creation of the hare, I wanted to draw on a simplistic design, which really reflected what myself and others love and universally identify with about the Cotswolds. Lavender is also one trademark of the cotswolds and offers a classic view of the English countryside, one I wanted to incorporate into my design. I am a student at Balcarras sixthform in Cheltenham; art has always been an important part of my life and something I have a deep love for. This opportunity has allowed me to continue to pursue art, which I still want to remain a part of my life, regardless of my A level options or any future career.
I was interested in this project, due to the strong emphasis placed on the conservation of the Cotswolds and the charities it supports. I hope to go on to study geography at degree level, to pursue a career in conservation and humanitarian work. This opportunity has allowed me to explore conservation work in the Cotswolds and gain insight into what this entails. It has also enlightened me on the plethora of ways in which to support and raise money to help improve and enrich both the natural environment and the lives of people who it affects and the way that art can contribute to this.
